8 Day Taiwan Island Tour

Day 1 Manila- Taipei (L/D) 馬尼拉-台灣-忠烈祠-博物院-蔣中正堂-總統樓-手工藝中心-101

Depart Manila for Taiwan via Philippine Airlines. Upon arrival at Taoyuan Airport, be met and transferred to Taipei City for a sumptuous BBQ lunch. After lunch, we take the afternoon to visit the landmarks of the city- Martyrs’ Shrine, National Palace Museum, Chang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, pass by Presidential Office Building, Handicraft Center. Check into hotel. In the evening after dinner, visit Taipei 101 tower- the 2d tallest building in the world.-(Entrance ticket to summit observation deck at pax own account).

Day 2 Keelung- Tamsui- Taipei (B/L) 基隆港-野柳-基隆市-皇后岩石頭-九份-鼻頭角-南亞岩層-陰陽海- 金瓜石村-淡水-漁人碼頭中

After breakfast, depart the city for a trip north to visit Keelung Harbor. Coach to Yeliou and the Norhtern Coast- Keelung City, Yeliou Scenery, Queens Rock Head, etc. After lunch, we coast the Jioufen and Northeastern Coast to visit Bitou Cape, Nanya Rock Formations, Yin Yang Sea (Bay of Two colors), Jiguashih Village and Jioufen Old Street. Afterwards transfer to Tamsui and visit the old street and Fisherman’s Wharf. Dinner is at pax own account. Choose from a variety of street food from hawkers plying their specialties.

Day 3 Puli- Sun Moon Lake (B/L/D) 台中-埔里-日月潭郵輪-文武廟-德化村-慈安寶塔-僧侶聖地

After breakfast, take an hour high speed train to Taichung. Upon arrival in Taichung, transfer to Puli to visit the Puli Old Town. After lunch, visit the famous Sun Moon Lake. Take a cruise. See Wen Wu Temple at Te Hua Village, Cih-e Pagoda, Holy Monk Shrine. Stay overnight at Sun Moon Lake.

Day 4 Alishan (B/L/D) 阿里山森林公園-三代樹-姐妹池

From Sun Moon Lake, we transfer to Alishan. Upon arrival, check into hotel. After lunch, take a stroll around Alishan Forest Park. See three generation trees, Sister’s Pool and many more. Return to the hotel for an early dinner before retiring for early wake up the next morning.

Day 5 Alishan- Tainan- Kaoshiung (B/L) 阿里山-台南-安平砲台- 智根樓- 義素華金城- 延平郡 王祠 - 高雄-澄清湖-西子灣-春秋閣-愛河

Wake up at 4am and start a 1.5 hour leisure trek up to the viewing point to see the famous Alishan Sunrise to bask in the first glow of the day. Return back to the hotel (1.5 hours) to take breakfast. (If the mountain train is already available by that time then we will take that instead of walking to and fro). After breakfast, depart for Tainan. Upon arriving in Tainan, proceed to take a tour dropping by Anping Fort, Chih Kan Lou (The Chamber of the Red Hill), Yi Tzai Golden Castle (Eternal Fortress) ad Koxinga’s Shrine. After lunch, we proceed to Kaoshiung- Taiwans 2^nd largest after Taipei. Tour around the city- Cheng Ching Lake, Former British Consulate, Sizih Bay (Sizihwan), Spring and Autumn Pavilions. Check into hotel. In the evening, explore the Kaoshiung Night Market and seek out bargains as well as your dinner with the many food hawkers serving their specialties. Return on your own to the hotel.

Day 6 Kenting Park- Tainan (B/L/D) 墾丁國家公園-台東-溫泉

From the city, travel to the southernmost tip of Taiwan Island and visit Kenting National Park. See Wu Lan Pi, the tip overlooking the Northern part of the Philippines. Transfer to Taitung after lunch, passing by the Taiwan south coast and Southern Straits. Arrive in Tainan late afternoon. Check into a Hot Spring Resort. Enjoy the facilities and soak in the famous hot spring pool of Tainan.

Day 7 Tainan- Hualien (B/L) 花蓮-太魯閣峽谷-永春神社-燕子洞-九轉隧道-台北

From Taitung, travel Northeast into Hualien. Visit the Taroko Gorge Gateway – Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Caves, Tunnel of Nine Turns, Marble Bridge, Tienshang Lodge. After lunch, drop by Hualien famous marble factory before proceeding to Taipei. Upon arrival in Taipei, check into hotel. Rest of evening at own leisure. In the evening, explore the Shilin Night Market and seek out bargains as well as your dinner with the many food hawkers serving their specialties. Return on your own to the hotel.

Day 8 Taipei- Manila (B) 台北-馬尼拉

Free until transfer to airport for flight back to Manila
